This exercise opened up the organisation. Issues and Lessons page on this site gave 19 subjects for interested members to look at. These lessons focused in the main on the Enterprise aspect. This small exercise gave up 10 lessons on the organisation. All are hoped to help the members in the future.

WHY HAS ANDREAS BEEN TREATED SO BADLY?
In an attempt to understand why Andreas has been so badly treated I have asked the question WHY many times. I have not once received any intelligent response. In other words no one can explain. It was during a meeting with Robert Coker prior to subconscience.com being launched that I asked him and he answered IGNORANCE.
I decided to put IGNORANCE to the test alongside two other questions COVER UP and THREAT. Were these 3 attitudes in anyway to blame for the situation that has gone on for 26 years?
It is extremely difficult as Subud is a large web in which each member is entwined. What each thinks, says and does creates a situation and therefore each and everyone is responsible. It is further influenced by the behaviour, understanding, perception and role of the individual.
So to make things simpler it seemed necessary to divide Subud into 6 sections 1) Subud Britain Committee/exec, 2) Subud Britain National Helpers, 3) Subud Britain Membership, 4) WSC body, 5) International Helpers 6) International Members. Then ask each section the same question.

HOW WERE THE CONCLUSIONS REACHED?
QUESTION 1: IGNORANCE
Q1: WAS SUBUD BRITAIN COMMITTEE/EXEC IGNORANT?
It is extremely hard not to overlook that on the executive of Subud Britain for nearly if not over 2 decades Raymond Prescott Co Secretary of Anugraha covering Board 3 & 4 held a position. He would fit CAT 1 in the behaviour profile. He knew everything about Anugraha and all that took place relating to its failure. He was replaced by Robert Coker the first Co Secretary of Anugraha. These two men knew all the untold secrets of Anugrahas life. If Robert didn’t hold the evidence he knew enough and CAT 2 of the behaviour profile fits.
Subud Britain though not legally responsible for Anugraha was given a special role and relationship due to Anugraha being situated in the UK.
Subud Britain was involved in a bid with the Managing Director of Board 4
Subud Britain sent in Maksum Stafford who did great damage. Subud Britain did nothing to curtail his activities.
Subud Britain was a Charge Holder who lost money and took no action
It would be necessary to examine the composition of the membership of each committee over the years to ascertain if anyone else held a position on Subud Britain committees who held a position in Anugraha
This strengthens my belief that members who play a part in enterprises should not sit on organisational committees as ‘conflict of interest’ influences behaviour.
Subud Britain’s behaviour leaves more questions than answers.

Q1: WERE SUBUD BRITAIN NATIONAL HELPERS IGNORANT?
The history with Helpers goes back a long way. The illegal testing of the MD and in the 90s our home produced no investigation. The latter forced members to go against their consciences and ignored voices of dissent. How can such evil be explained and who/what was behind it?
Over 26 years members who held positions in Anugraha have crossed to committee and onto Helper so ‘conflict of interest ‘ exists. In the early days Kedjiwaan fitted Cat 2 of the behaviour profile, knowing, yet choosing to do nothing. Others fit a mixture Cat 2 and 4. – The quiet life.
Justice and Human Rights do not require testing as already HIGHER VALUES. Andreas seeks Justice and Luthfi O’Meagher his right to clear his name. A right denied by every Subud member for 26 years. The Helpers have failed in their Duty of Care in these matters.
Bapak stated you Test only when your critical factors are exhausted. If Testing has taken place in a state of ignorance, the Tests will not reflect the higher values and therefore null and void.
Illegality took place under the dome of Anugraha. All Helpers have colluded and failed in their Duty of Care.
Helpers profess to represent the Spiritual of Subud. If they fail to reflect the higher values in spiritual terms and the higher values of society such as Justice, what have they become? They have taken ignorance into a state of evil.
THE SUBUD BRITAIN NATIONAL HELPERS GREW THROUGH TIME INTO IGNORANCE

Subud Britain members have been subjected to a series of traumas over these 26 years. They took the fall for Anugraha and later a further enterprise. They were faced with members needing help. Were forced to abandon their consciences and witnessed their voice denied. This can seriously damage a person and should have been taken very seriously.
No investigation, leadership or guidance was received. A cesspit emerged. The membership divided by the two Boards of Anugraha raised opinion, alternative opinion, lies and abuse occurred. Members were confused. Who to believe? They saw those responsible for Anugraha in jobs going about their business whilst others as if ostracised were suffering. The balance had been lost. Protect and care for one others were hurt and harmed. Members gave up and went into a collective state of denial. Papers were written on it and ignored. Anugraha unresolved kept coming back. Wouldn’t go away. The members exhausted wanted no more
Over the years members involved in Anugraha have aged now in their 70-80s. Some have died. Others left and still Anugraha lives on.
For Subud members to heal they must raise themselves respecting the Rights individuals. They must look towards the higher values represented in Society where facts, truth, law, and Justice lay. They must seek the higher spiritual values where love, compassion, restoration and healing reside and apply to EVERYONE.
Subud members have suffered and their actions resulted out of IGNORANCE of the facts. They were let down by Subud Britain not providing leadership and failing in their Duty of Care

Is it I or has anyone else noticed similarities between the situation and the VW scandal?
No one is responsible for anything but the buck has to stop somewhere. Is this the place?
The WSC was responsible for Anugraha and an explanation re Anugraha’s end and the missing money remains outstanding.
This large body of people. Their smiling faces in colourful photos are more slippery than any eel. On the other side of the world it has proved beyond difficult to get a response. It is extremely puzzling for an ordinary member to understand its role or purpose. Is it an autonomous body or are these people mere puppets under the control of master puppeteers?
When an organisation is healthy it is open, transparent and pro-active. Our experience has been the exact opposite. This speaks in itself volumes and is concerning, after all it is supposed to head a charitable and spiritual organisation. Even the Pope’s establishment replies to all letters and enquiries. Not the WSC and not to us.
To answer this question, scrutiny must fall upon Penesay. The only WSC Chairman to come out, commence dialogue and give hope to an Inquiry. Without explanation he suddenly closed the door. Penesay requires to explain himself in honesty to everyone. I accused him of being ‘nobbled’. Was he?

In the early days of Anugraha many members travelled to visit, stay and attend events at Anugraha. Anugraha was celebrated across the Subud World.
As the International Centre, individual members had roles under its dome. They now will be elderly, possibly dead or even left Subud.
The international members who supported Anugraha did lose but have not suffered as Subud Britain members have, due to Anugraha’s location.
The international members, with the exception of a few with heightened consciences who still show interest, are detached, distant and indifferent.

Closing the Company down, denying Andreas his RIGHT to take action against the Directors may be more serious than members realise. The act of and reasons given to the DTI may not be lawful and require scrutiny. It was at this point Andreas became a case of Injustice. It is not known if Subud Britain acted autonomously or under the orders of the WSC or AN OTHER.
Andrew Bromley Subud Britain Chair in 1998 made a statement ‘Subud will never help you’. If alive he needs to fully explain before everyone.
There is evidence Subud Britain officials interfered with the right of editorial and disallowed the word Anugraha to be used in any articles. This helped to keep the membership in a state of ignorance.
Subud Britain officials failed in their Duty of Care towards the membership and us.
Each Chairman since the collapse of Anugraha has behaved as a clone of the one he succeeded. This requires explanation. How can that be? They were closed uncommunicative. Unwilling to have dialogue. As time passed Wilful Blindness could apply.
The behaviour of this body has been such that it has left itself open to suspicion that it was indeed covering up.

The Helpers were not isolated from member’s opinions, the division within or the loss of balance that existed. They have a close alliance to the Subud Committees. Conflict of Interest exists within their ranks.
Over the years and changes within the Helpers allowed ignorance to grow.
The Helpers represent in essence ‘spirituality’ yet they failed to represent those values as identified within the society and religious institutions.
The Helpers either through choice or ignorance failed to recognise Human Rights and a genuine case of Injustice.
They failed in their Duty of Care in all respects to these issues. They failed in their Duty of Care to protect members who have been affected by Enterprises and Testing in relation to this particular issue.
Helpers must learn the lessons from the past and present to ensure it never happens again.

Ignorance acted out is ugly and harms people. Division creates its own dysfunction. Lose your balance and you fall.
The members were given an opportunity when The Governance was published but did not take it. This document was born from Luthfi O’Meagher being denied his RIGHTS to clear his name. Some good people supported him at the time. I hold those who received a copy responsible for not taking the correct and appropriate action. This document to end up in the basements of libraries never to see the light of day or in the rubbish bins of members is outrageous and bizarre. The recipients of The Governance fitted in the main Cat 1 and 2 of the behaviour profile. They opened themselves up to suspicion that they were involved in a cover up.
How each member reacted to The Governance is for them and their consciences. The document failed to produce any positive response. As a result it prolonged our suffering and caused us harm.
A few members brought suspicion and doubt upon the main body of the membership who were not involved in a cover up.

The five pieces of evidence to support suspicion that the WSC opened itself up to such questioning are;-
- Its closed policy resulting in no communication.
- The behaviour of Penesay
- Were the WSC involved in the closure of AHL preventing Andreas and anyone else from taking their RIGHT to take action against the Directors who after all acted criminally?
- Missing money.
- Did any part of the Subud world benefit from loss of Anugraha?
Wilful Blindness could be applied here.
Failure in Duty of Care towards members invited to become involved in Enterprises.
If criminality has been taking place in the Enterprise Wing of Subud then hopefully it will be routed out to protect members in the future.
It makes me MAD that people have been put through so much pain and trauma for what? I want to SCREAM and STAMP and SHOUT for someone to act quickly and STOP IT.
I wish to see the Enterprise Wing CLOSED DOWN. I want it to CRUMBLE.
I want to see CHARITY and SPIRITUALITY rise in its stead for the future.
Will someone do something and QUICKLY?

There were 3 Charge Holders Bank of Scotland who received partial repayment. Widjojo lost £800,000 and took no action. Subud Britain lost £80,000 and took no action.
Andreas had no charge on the house but did have the right to take action against the Directors who after all acted criminally. There is nothing wrong in that.
The action of and the reasons given for closing the Company may not be lawful and requires scrutiny. Closing the Company removed the LEGAL THREAT. It is easy to ignore a weakened individual, a case of injustice and they did for 26 years.
Andreas who alongside others was severely affected by the consequences of the Horthy speech, the missing £2M for Hardship and the Houses and had been gravely damaged helping to save the houses. Denied now his RIGHTS to take action against the Directors weakened him further.
Subud Britain/exec in closing the Company took the risk of bringing the name of the Founder and the organisation into disrepute. They also abandoned MORALITY in all its tapestry. Members committed to Subud and are of religious and spiritual persuasion may have strong views on this.
Subud Britain is not good on morality. Raising funds for the next big project whilst its members were fighting to save their homes must go into a black book of shame. Subud Britain is not good on Charity either. A Registered Charity that withholds charity and fails to recognise the Good Samaritan surely gives rise for concern.
Any organisation that is not seen as up front, decent, moral in its affairs and dealings will suffer justifiably.

The Helpers protective in nature, aligned with Committee and aware of member’s views have been certainly wary.
They too are affected by the loss of balance. Our plight known by Helper individuals yet not one has offered support or help over these years.
There is a prejudice that should be stamped on. That, if an individual breaks ranks they are seen as troublemakers. I would hope that was not perceived in our case but if it were it would influence their perception.
At out meeting prior to launching subudconscience.com the Helpers were unable to even assist us in obtaining a meting with the Subud Britain Council. The over riding impression I received was fear. They wanted to pass the buck and distance themselves.
Some might sympathise but if everyone behaves in that way what happens to us?
I think it is reasonable to assume the National Helpers did see Andreas as a threat

We have lived under the threat from someone for years. Our life has been open. We have lived in a fish bowl and under someone’s microscope for one reason or another and it has been both stressful and unpleasant. To some, information was entrusted, others not. As a result we have been profoundly traumatised by the malicious intent of members, the betrayal, judgement and disrespect. The abusers sole purpose has been to deflect from the organisation, the real issues and protect their friends. The persecution has gone on for decades. We hope it will stop. This does indeed indicate Andreas is being seen as a threat.
In the early days there was a belief that if the truth about Anugraha came out it would end Subud in the World. Twenty Six years has gone by so the impact will now have virtually died. Those who held such a belief did not understand history or how organisations and human behaviour work. Irrespective, if this irrational belief was strong Andreas would be seen as a threat.
Nearly 10 years had passed saving the houses. Now totally abandoned by the membership he was in desperate need and risked losing everything. Traded as if an animal in a livestock market wheeling and dealing took place. “What to do with Andreas?’ “We might help as long as directors are protected”. This was VILE, EVIL to treat a person in this way and little wonder he became ill. If the truth regarding how Anugraha was lost really threatened Subud, surely how Subud has treated Andreas will seal its fate.
Corporate Manslaughter is no threat and will be considered should he die before resolution. Hopefully he will receive his home and be restored, as Luthfi O’Meagher’s name will be cleared before he dies.
THAT IS THE ONLY RIGHT AND JUST ACTION for Subud to take.
The way Andreas has been treated brings SHAME, DISGUST and TRAGEDY to Subud. Where’s the spirituality in all of this. Why all this suffering and for what?

Unless the WSC is covering something serious it’s behaviour requires explanation and understanding. Not receiving such leaves members and us at risk.
Every organisation, except Subud, has a CEO where the buck stops and difficulties are resolved. At least that is the expectation. The WSC is in essence no different from any other International Organisation. Humanity, spirituality and the individual are not at its heart.
The WSC is not accountable to anyone. To suggest it should be monitored by an independent incorruptible body would be laughed at.
The average member has no understanding or probably doesn’t even care how it works, its financial dealings or management. The WSC is unlikely to welcome scrutiny.
When the bottom line is reached as our experience has shown, if the WSC decides to lie, to be silent, to walk away, there’s nothing anyone can do. Only the voice of members may possibly bring change but if they can’t be bothered then nothing will stop this unstoppable train that rolls on.
What matters to the WSC is ‘evidence’. ‘Can it harm us?’ ‘Can we get out of it?’ Can we ignore?’ Depending on the answers will depend on its response. Look at what it has taken for us to get attention. A website, Twitter, Facebook and naming people. That must tell you something. Should not members be concerned?
I believe if Bapak had been alive this would not have happened. If it had and we were in this situation he would have confirmed himself a liar and a fraud. Have not the WSC make him into one?
What is the WSC representing? If members aren’t concerned they should be for the future of Subud.
I suspect the WSC did not see Andreas as a threat. They believe themselves above the law, unaccountable and totally indifferent to any individual members distress, and as proved for all these years our situation.

It was here at this point the Committee, Helpers and Membership came together.
It was here Andreas was separated and symbolically got rid of. It was here his health broke down and nearly lost his life. Since then he has lived under the threat of losing his home and all he possesses. Initially Bailiffs, Bank and then Subud itself. For a person to be persecuted in this way is heinous. In the situation we are in when hope dies the light goes out. Hope hasn’t died. It is a genuine miracle we are still here and hanging in.
Andreas’s only avenue after the Company was closed has been Inquiry. We now faced 2 unaccountable bodies. Subud Britain and the WSC.
Who is to bring the wickedness of S Horthy to account? No one. Who is to bring the missing money to account? No one, Who is to being Subud Britain to account? No one, Who are to bring the Helpers and Testing to account, No one. SIMPLY NO ONE.
Everything that could have been done has been done. Everything possible has been done by Subud to prevent us succeeding.
It has taken a long time, too long but not to late for good courageous people to rise from the cesspit and form an Inquiry. We hope at last Truth, and Justice will prevail. That Luthfi O’Meagher will clear his name before he dies and Andreas will be restored.
WORLD SUBUD COUNCIL
The most worrying is unaccountability. This body and all it encompasses changes country and personnel every 4 years.
The most valuable resource Subdue has are its members, to ignore, abuse and harm is surely folly.
If the WSC as a body is not willing to look back, face its darker side and be accountable for the consequences of its actions then it does not deserve members at all.
The seekers of spirit have high expectation. They look for a harmonious experience where like-minded people meet in love, acceptance and growth. They do expect stress imposed upon them, unhappiness or lose their money in sub standard mortar. Only those at material level seek enterprise. Those who have attained higher levels are dragged down and harmed.
God and the latihan won’t change anything but the members can if they can be bothered.
The WSC must be accountable and somehow the way to ensure this must be found otherwise members are at risk.
